Name: Nick
Scripture: Psalm 27: "The LORD is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?"
OAP: The opening line says a lot about the rest of this awesome passage. Through this psalm of David, God gives us hope for our future as we follow the narrow path. I think that David is giving a declaration to Christ of his obedience and at the same time explaining how our God can help with doubts if we put our trust in Him. It sounds easier that is really is, and I have recently been attempting to do this very thing. I've only learned how hard it is to have confidence in God when I'm torn down at school through my enemies.
The psalm also addresses God as our solution to fear and loneliness. I feel moved by this declaration, yet I still long for someone to be at my side. I've asked God to show me anyone He wants me to have an intimate relationship with, but I either don't see His answer or the answer is no, which leaves me back where I started; lonely. I know that the problem lies with me, but I don't know how to fix it. My only present solution is to keep playing and reading scripture. Hopefully He will reward me with a clear answer, or with a companion.

I hear myself in your words. I can't tell you how many times I have said the same thing. I will pray for you and your heart.
You have much to give. Share with many, but treasure certain things for you alone.
Let's grab coffee and talk more.
