Name: Nick
Scripture: Leviticus 27
OAP: As I began reading Leviticus I had a hard time understanding what on earth it was saying. Then as I got through most of it I realized that this is primarily about tithing. I had to read the subscript (or whatever it's called) to full grasp the passage, but once I did, it became clear what I was to learn from these old commandments. I don't tithe right now because I have a job, and I have always said that once I get one, I will tithe. Recently, I have been thinking of starting a little lawn aerating business of my own. I'm glad I read Leviticus 27 because it warns about promising God one thing and delivering another. I sort of knew about that, but definitely didn't think about it as seriously as commanded by God when Mosses told the Israelites. Sometimes I feel that the bible doesn't always apply to today's way of life, but whenever I challenge my thought process I find the bible is relevant.
