I may write more concering the subjunctive

Name: Chad
Scripture: Luke 14: 15-35 Exodus 13-14
Ex 13: 17 "When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near. For God said, 'Lest the people change their minds when they see war and return to Egypt'"

OAP: lest= so that they may not
God is personal, he is aware of where we are at and how we deal with things, I am not talking about predestination but rather about having a real relationship with the beings that he created. This passage is both encouraging and it kinda sucks. On one hand God didn't put the Jews in a position to fail, he knew what they would do and didn't trap them. On the other if the Jews would have trusted God more then he would have known that and the whole 40 years thing could have been avoided.

God, in the situations in my life where I don't trust you fully, even if I don't say it or I am not aware of it, lead me the long way. I would rather take the time necessary to work for your kingdom than attempt short cuts. That being said I pray that my willingness and trust doesn't hamper your plans, and if it does please let me know.
