Grassy Meadows

Name: Scott
Scripture:Psalm 23:2 "He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams."

OAP: Dave was a sav. If there was a definition for the word 'savage', it would be King David. I am always amazed by the honesty and the real-ness that this guy shared with God. He held nothing back. I always like reading his work.

God has my best interest at heart. He wants me to succeed in all that I do, and he doesn't like to see me distressed. He 'lets me rest in green meadows' to remind me in the hard times, 'remember when?' I thought of how my week off now seems like a green meadow or peaceful stream. A time of relaxation and a time to enjoy life. I know that come Monday, I will be thrust back into  harsh desert land, but no pain, no gain I suppose?

God, thank you for giving me breaks. Help me, while enjoying this time off, to be proactive in our relationship and seek you more.
