The Prayer of Worship

Name:Scott

Scripture: Psalm 103
"22 Praise the Lord, everything He has created,
everything in all His kingdom.
Let all that I am praise the Lord."

OAP: Yes, let us praise the Lord! What a great Psalm. It covers basically all that God does for us. "He forgives my sins . . . redeems me from death . . . fills my life with good things . . . slow to get angry . . . does not deal harshly with us as we deserve . . ." The Psalmist then goes on to call the angels to praise God with him! And verse 22 calls me, with the angels, to praise everything He has created. And I should!
Everything that I see is His creation. The mexican guy who just walked into Starbucks; the wind; the clouds; musical notes; a bouquet of flowers; even the color yellow! But what does it mean for me to be in  constant praise?
Jesus, thank you for relaxing days. I am so thankful to be enjoying life, enjoying the world that you have created for me! It is a mystery to me why you did all this for me, and why you love me so much, despite my depravity. Teach me how to constantly be praising you. Teach me what it looks like to worship you with all that you have made me. I am yours. I have the right to nothing. My talents and abilities are your talents and abilities, and I am reminded that you can use them whenever and however you want, whether I want you to or not. Thank you for life! For overcast clouds on a warm, gray day! I love you.
