Scripture: Psalm 1:1-3
"1Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers.
2But they delight in the law of the Lord,
meditating on it day and night.
3They are like trees planted along
the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do."
OAP*:
I really like the idea that those who meditate on the law of the Lord are "like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season." The person who delights in Gods word and tries to apply it to their life will reap the benefits and be changed, as a result of letting God mess around inside them.
This is another passage that stresses the importance of taking time away to be with God and read His word. (I have been reading passages that are planned around the subject of Meditation, but weird how I am reading them right when I need them, huh?) The more I open myself to God, the more He will be able to mold me and speak to me.
*Prayer done in my head.
